Kuruma was created by Yamari to guard the dharma wheels.  He is jaded and cynical due to aeons of loneliness and watching the lives and atrocities of others, but at the same time remarkably innocent and naive, having never actually experienced anything he's witnessed.  He possesses few social skills, but at the same time he's sensitive and somewhat thin-skinned.

Kuruma's true form is an amorphous black mist; he tends to revert to it when he's feeling lazy or very upset.  He can form his mist into whatever he likes, which is why jewelry of various types often appears and disappears on his body. :3;

Sattva is the soul under Kuruma's protection.  She doesn't take anything seriously, and her sense of humor is rather morbid.  She doesn't see anything wrong with the various crimes against humanity she commits in her early lives, nor she does she see anything wrong with using violence to make a point.  Or using violence for any reason at all really.

However, she's fiercely loyal and caring (in a sense).  At first she's wary of Kuruma and his intention of turning her into a scarab beetle, but eventually she becomes very protective of him (especially where Yamari is involved).

Yamari is one of eight dharma-pala, gods who protect Buddhism.  He likes it when people do what he says.  Shortening his name to 'Yam' or 'Yama' will result in suffering.  For you.  And your family.

Sinclair is a successful businessman with a fondness for the occult and occasionally killing people.  He was born and raised in England, but he moved to the States to attend college.  Very little of his accent remains. 
He's articulate, intelligent, and meticulous, and well-read.  He loves collecting things, including such things as Beanie Babies (though he would never admit it, he has a sizable stock).  He lives in a mansion on the edge of a town called Vinton.

Mayavada is Sinclair's secretary, though this job has recently meant burying corpses rather than taking memos.  He can be a bit cranky, and he tends to lose his composure easily though he tries to act cool.  However, as his name suggests, he's not quite what he seems...

The drummer for Sattva's 'rock star' incarnation.  Caring, sharp, and outspoken, Metea's differentiated from the other players in Sattva's lives because she actually seems to know something about her (his in this incarnation) predicament.  Metea has a very gentle and loving, motherly nature, but she doesn't take crap, although she is fairly forgiving.
